IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. BY USING OUR SERVICES OR ACCESSING GOLDSTARMATCHMAKERS.COM, YOU AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE WEBSITE OR SERVICES.
1. Overview
Gold Star Matchmakers ("we," "us," or "our") offers personalized speed dating, matchmaking, and coaching services via GoldStarMatchmakers.com (the "Website"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") establish a binding agreement between you and Gold Star Matchmakers, governing your access and use of our services. Our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement, explains our data handling practices under Alberta���s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Terms are subject to updates posted on the Website, effective seven days later unless immediate changes are legally required. Continued use of services implies acceptance of changes. The last update was made at 08:48 PM MDT on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.
2. Definitions
"Agreement": The contract between you
and us, governed by these Terms.
"Applicant": An individual applying for our speed dating, matchmaking, or coaching services.
"Services": Includes speed dating events, matchmaking, and coaching, excluding public member profiles or swiping.
"User": An individual whose application for services is accepted by us.
"Client Information": Personal data securely stored by us.
"Intellectual Property Rights": Includes copyrights, trademarks, and other proprietary rights under Canadian law.
"Liability": Means claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses.
"Website": GoldStarMatchmakers.com or any related URL.
"Terms": These Terms & Conditions.

3. Eligibility Requirements
To use our Services, the following conditions apply:
You must be at least 19 years old and legally capable of forming contracts.
You must not be a competitor or misuse our content.
You must not have a criminal conviction related to violence as per Alberta's laws.
Notify us immediately if you become ineligible and discontinue using our services. You are responsible for securing your account credentials.
4. Our Services
4.1 Speed Dating
Participants are encouraged to provide 24 hours’ notice for cancellations. Postponements entitle attendees to equivalent credits in Canadian dollars (CAD) for future events, with no expiration. Credits are transferable with our approval. All purchases are final.
4.2 Matchmaking
Our service offers personalized introductions based on compatibility. All Client Information is private and secure. There is no online swiping or public member area. If we cannot find a match, the value of your package is transferable to speed dating or coaching, without expiration. All sales are final.
4.3 Coaching
We offer tailored guidance in dating skills and relationship management. Packages are non-refundable, and sessions expire six months from purchase unless stated otherwise. Rescheduling requires 24 hours’ notice.
5. Client Information and Privacy
Client profiles are not publicly displayed. We secure data per PIPA guidelines and use it only for service delivery. Users must provide accurate information and comply with our Privacy Policy.
6. User Responsibilities
Users must not:
Share personal contact details unless facilitated by us.
Submit unlawful or offensive content.
Use services for promoting other businesses.
Attempt unauthorized access to our system.
Engage in spam or harassment.

7. Website Use
Access is provided under these Terms. Content may be inaccurate, and use is at your own risk.
8. Third-Party Links
Includes links for convenience; not controlled or endorsed by us. Review third-party terms independently.
9. Advertisements
We may display ads on the Website, subject to our discretion.
10. Intellectual Property

11. Contract Terms
This Agreement governs service use, superseding prior terms. We can amend terms, and updates are posted on the Website. Subscriptions can be canceled within 10 days under Alberta law if unused. Payment in CAD is required for services.
12. Termination
We may terminate accounts for non-payment, false information, or harmful conduct. Termination does not waive our rights.
13. Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect damages beyond the service fee paid. Our liability is capped.
14. Indemnification
Users indemnify us against losses from Terms violations or service misuse.
15. PCI DSS and PIPA Compliance
We comply with PCI DSS for payment security and PIPA for personal data management.
16. Information Accuracy
Content is for guidance; verify independently. Modifications might not be updated.
17. Electronic Communications
Consent to receive emails related to services. Opt-outs limit some updates.
18. Assignment
Assignments require our consent. We may assign freely.
19. Waiver
Rights waivers must be written. Non-enforcement does not imply waiver.
20. Trademark Use
Our trademarks cannot be used without permission. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
21. Canadian Data Protection
Data transits public networks. Compliance with Canadian laws is upheld.
22. Copyright Notice
We comply with Canadian Copyright laws. Report breaches to info@goldstarmatchmakers.com.
23. CASL Compliance
Emails comply with CASL. Unsubscribing affects communication.
24. Data Protection Policy
Personal data is managed per our Privacy Policy and PIPA, emphasizing transparency.
25. Governing Law
Terms are governed by Alberta laws, resolved in the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta in Calgary.
26. Dispute Resolution
Disputes are resolved individually in Calgary. For claims under CAD $10,000, binding arbitration is available.
